Briefly, a non-hilarious posting

To celebrate the fact that Piecost.net is currently the #2 Google result when you search for the word “piecost” (and lets face it, why wouldn’t you?), we’ve decided to get on board the Twitter bandwagon.

“How the hell are those two things in the slightest way related?”, I hear you scream, dumbfounded and impotent.

Well, they aren’t.

Anyway, this is the crucial bit of info you’ll be dying to know:

The sparkles… it hurrrrttsssss ussssss!

Shparkley!

Shparkley!

Probably not a thread with any longevity, but if you’re into watching ridiculous thread behaviour, Mike Monteiro seems to have tapped a rich seam of boredom over at Flickr, commencing with some kind of diagram he was trying to sell on a t-shirt, but now venturing into what looks like sparkling dictators.

The Crappening

Anybody who’s about on Friday night and wants to be part of a Twitter event: Graham Linehan (writer of Father Ted, and The IT Crowd) is assembling Bad Film Club.

I’m organising a Bad Film Club event online for Friday night (13th Feb). At exactly 9.00pm, myself and some likeminded Twitterers will be pressing ‘play’ on M Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Happening’,  and blogging our responses to the magic as it unfolds. Now, this is uncharted territory for me, and I have no way of knowing whether it’ll work, but dammit, it’s worth a shot, isn’t it? Isn’t this what ‘Why Don’t You’ told us to do, all those years ago? (Actually, it’s the polar opposite to what they told us to do, but never mind).

So if you’re up for it, get a hold of a copy of The Happening, get yourself signed up on Twitter & make sure you’ve got a reasonably responsive client (like Tweetdeck), and at 21:00GMT on Friday, strap in and get ready for some cynical global banter!
