Eastern Europe too produces some absolute corkers, and for some reason Cracked.com has compiled a list of 20 movie posters which somehow became casualties of translation.

This is allegedly the Russian poster for Star Wars:

It looks like some weird hybrid of Thundercats, Hellraiser, The Bird Cage, and possibly Time Bandits.  Even so it seems far more on-topic than the Polish campaign to advertise 80’s masterpiece of corpse-puppetry, Weekend At Bernie’s:bernies
