A german man made his disapproval of tourism known in Munich when, after detecting an eastern german accent being used near him, he started hurling abuse at the speaker and grabbing a variety of nearby objects with which to hit them. Including a hapless swan.
He grabbed the swan by its neck, and swung it like a club at his victim after an afternoon drinking session.
The swan apparently flew away, escaping unhurt otherwise.
Ah, the joy of packs of blokes going on holiday together… A shocking blow today for groups of men who are fans of going abroad and cross-dressing in large groups: a group on an annual football tour to Crete have been arrested for “scandal and misrepresentation of a costume or uniform” due to their loutish behaviour while dressed as nuns.
All current or former players with the football club, the men were accused of flashing their bottoms “and the rest” while wearing rudimentary nun costumes.
The reports also states that previously they had dressed up as St Trinian’s schoolgirls in Portugal, and babies in Cyprus – apparently not problematic behaviour those times.
In what appears to be the most important news of the year to date, the house which Ferris Bueller’s mate Cameron lived in is for sale: of course if you don’t know what that’s all about I may have to disown you.
The asking price has been reported at between 2.3 and 2.9 million $US, and most reports seem to gleefully report in a jocular manner that it doesn’t come with a wrecked Ferrari. Oh, the hilarity.

A retiree in Germany complained to police that his neighbours were always playing music and annoying him. It wasn’t so much the volume, as the fact it was always the same tune, and they seemed to have little regard for what time of day they’d strike it up, either.
It turned out that the music was in fact coming from an electronic birthday card on his windowsill, which the wind would periodically disturb just enough to engage the music circuit.
Police said Tuesday the 82-year-old from Goslar in central Germany told officers he was sick of the music, which would come at irregular intervals and at all hours.
